| 1 | | Board of Health Item | a. Final Review of Recommendations on use of Opioid Settlement Funds
The Board of Health discussed the wording of the Recommendation. Members suggested that certain wording used in the recommendation have negative connotations. There were discussions about data collection and how that information would be collected or used. Feirman said that he wanted current data to be built upon and wanted that included in the recommendation. Skala indicated she would add that language. The Board agreed that there needed to be more resources dedicated to helping people receive treatment after naloxone use. |

The city is about to close out the budget for FY2024. Lunch in the Park started earlier in the week of June 8, 2023. The program is for minors under the age of 18 to get lunch during the summer months. There has been an uptick among kids seeking out this program. The Armory has been hosting a location and another at Again Park. A training contract recently went to council and if approved by the City Council would be beneficial to Columbia Public Health and Human Services. |
