I. CALL TO ORDER

Vice Chair Meera Sood called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.

III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA  
Meera Sood moved to amend the agenda by adding HREP proposal as new business and  
approve as amended, Paige Read seconded the motion to amend the agenda and  
approve as amended, motion was approved unanimously.  
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

VI. OLD BUSINESS  
Pridefest  
The group discussed feedback from PrideFest.  
Human Rights Commission Representative to the Citizen Police Review  
Board  
There were no volunteers for this position at this time, this item was tabled to the next  
meeting.  
Affordable Housing Task Force Report  
The commission reviewed the 2019 council action on the Analysis of Impediments to Fair  
Housing Report. The commission will review the council action taken in 2019.  
Inclusionary Policy  
Members discussed plans to research Iowa City and Asheville’s inclusionary policy.  
Rate card  
Members discussed updates to the rack card.  
Budget Update  
The commission was informed by Staff of the new 2024 fiscal year budget.  
Source of Income Discrimination  
The topic was discussed.  
VII. NEW BUSINESS  
Ways to Advertise and Promote HREP Funding  
The commission brainstormed ways to advertise and spread awareness of HREP funding.  
November Meeting Reschedule Discussion  
The November meeting will remain as scheduled. Stephanie Yoakum moved to push back  
the January meeting to January 17 th .  
Amanda Hinnant seconded the motion, the motion passed unanimously. The January  
meeting will be held on January 17 th .  
Future Speakers, Jane Williams.  
Jane Williams will be invited to speak at the November or December meeting.

CPRB  
There was no CPRB update.  
Education and Outreach  
No update, the subcommittee did not meet.
