I. CALL TO ORDER
The City Council met on May 6, 2024 at approximately 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room
1A/1B of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, Columbia, Missouri.
6 - Buffaloe, Foster, Lovelady, Waterman, Meyer, and Peters
Present:
This item is open to the public: Chapter 100 Project
Matt Williams, REDI Incentives Subcommittee discussed the Chapter 100 history, key
points and the general process.
Williams explained that Kraft Heinz submitted an application for a 75% abatement for
new personal property investment. Williams introduced Rob Bennett and Patrick Gowanz
who presented Council with an in-depth presentation on Project Lightyear.
Council and staff discussed further.
Mayor Buffaloe made a motion to adjourn the open portion of the meeting at
approximately 6:04 pm, Waterman seconded the motion; motion carried.
This item is open to the public: Motion for the City Council to go into
closed session in Conference Room 1A/1B to discuss:
- Hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting of particular employees by a
public governmental body when personal information about the employee
is discussed or recorded pursuant to Section 610.021(3) RSMo.
- Individually identifiable personnel records, performance ratings or
records pertaining to employees or applicants for employment pursuant to
Section 610.021(13) RSMo.
At approximately 6:04 p.m., Mayor Buffaloe made a motion for the City Council of
the City of Columbia, Missouri, to immediately go into a closed meeting in
Conference Room 1A/1B of City Hall to discuss the hiring, firing, disciplining or
promoting of particular employees by a public governmental body when
personal information about the employee is discussed or recorded pursuant to
Section 610.021(3) of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, and individually
identifiable personnel records, performance ratings or records pertaining to
employees or applicants for employment pursuant to Section 610.021(13) of the
Revised Statutes of Missouri. The motion was seconded by Council Member
Waterman.
