I. CALL TO ORDER  
City Staff: Aaron Decker, Tim Teddy, Nina Hennkens and Katie Partise  
Meeting called to order at 4:05pm

Begin reviewing of the significant changes in order of chapters.  
Discussion of review of 2018 amendments and 2021 amendments.  
5 of 5 persons present for quorum.  
Nina began by pulling up the 2021 IBC Review notes from the previous review to  
begin looking at the amendments to chapter 1. Brian made comment that he did  
not see any major changes of noteworthy in the portion of the book he had made  
it through so far.  
2021 review and 2024 amendments began by discussing the insertion of the SAVE  
Coalition language into section 104.6 which is now 104.4.2 and 104.4.2.1. All  
agreed.  
Discussion of modifying fence height in the IBC of section 105.2 to change from  
7’ to 8’. All agreed.  
It was noted that section 107.2.6 was deleted in the 2024 edition, and was not  
necessary for City of Columbia.  
Sections 107.1 was discussed with a list of exceptions to keep within the  
amendments moving forward.  
Removal of 104.10.1 was discussed and agreed upon.  
Discussion around section 105.5 with respect to the amendment that added a  
fee set at 50% of the original fee to be removed and restore to original book  
language as the fee section already covers this additional fee for expired permits.  
Section 108.4 was discussed as the City Amendment language was very similar.  
Agreed to remove the amendment and only add the language β€œand removed.”  
to the end of the 2024 IBC language.  
Amendment 115.3 was duplicating a number in the IBC text and needed changed  
to 115.4. Also discussed changing the title to match the book and add wording with  
respect to the fine to this amendment.  
BCCC Subcommittee asked BSD to review section 109 amendments with respect  
to the fees and present any changes when ready.
