that the BCCC will take with respect to the code review. John Page then asked
about the process involved and Mr. Decker confirmed that the BCCC will need to
recommend to City Council the desire to review the codes that will be 6 years
newer than the currently adopted codes. City Council will then determine and
issue directive to begin the review if in agreement.
John Page asked about involving the Boone County inspectors and working towards
keeping similarity in the codes adopted between the City and County. Mr Decker
agreed this was a great idea and is willing to participate in facilitating that as
needed. Brian Connell indicated he had already been discussing with Acton at the
County Offices about this.
Kas Carlson makes a motion to forward a request to the City Council for permission
to begin the Code Review Process for the 2024 International Codes.

IV. GENERAL COMMENTS BY PUBLIC, MEMBERS AND STAFF
Brian Connell and Aaron Decker discussed the vacancies that were currently open
and it was commented by Mr. Decker to spread the word to the colleagues that
there are openings and a chance to contribute. Mr. Connell then asked for the
vacancies to be read out loud.
Christopher Howe inquired about the process of switching his role from alternate
to primary member on the board. Mr. Teddy indicated that he just needed to
complete and application with the clerkâs office.
Brian Connell then discussed the next meeting date of October 28, 2024 and asked
if City Council would have a decision by then. Mr. Teddy confirmed that we hope to
have a decision during the City Council meeting before that meeting.
