I. CALL TO ORDER  
City Staff Attendance: Aaron Decker,Colin Wright & Steven Riggs  
Meeting was called to order at 4:05pm by Richard Shanker.

Motion to approve agenda.

IV. OLD BUSINESS  
Continue the review of Chapter 1  
Richard Shanker moved right into the continued review of the IFC and turned the  
table to Michael Bauer for review. Michael Bauer started into the next Chapter (2)  
of the text. There was one amendment in Chapter 2 that was recommended to  
delete and adopt as written in the book. All agreed.  
Chapter 3 was next and the following sections were visited on and associated  
decisions following them.  
304.1.1 Valet Trash Collection was discussed and suggested to be adopted with  
Appendix O which is new. All agreed.  
307.1 Open Burning was discussed, additional language was recommended by Fire  
to clarify and all agreed.  
308.1.14 was the old amendment which is now a new section as 4104.2 and  
recommended to adopt as is without the old amendment. Richard Shanker  
proposed taking to larger BCCC for review. All agreed  
308.2 and 315.2 were discussed and recommended to delete. All agreed.  
308.3.2 Theatrical performances was briefly discussed and through reference  
recommended to adopt the IFC version which calls to NFPA 160, All agreed to  
delete amendment and adopt IFC as is.  
319.1 was changed to 4106.2 and recommended to delete permit requirement.  
All agreed.  
320 is a new section on Lithium Batteries and All agreed to keep and only delete  
the permit requirement. 322 is a new section and all agreed to adopt as is.  
Began Chapter 4 with section 401.5 Making a false report and recommended that  
this mirror the City Ordinance for all false reports and all agreed to modify and be  
sure the amendment is in line with other City departments (CPD, CFD, etc.)  
Section 403.11.3.2 training for crowd managers was discussed and Fire  
recommended amendment with more detail directing them to the CFD online or  
in person training. All agreed to amend.  
Began Chapter 5 discussion section 503.2.4 is recommended to align with city  
policies and be amended to match. Richard Shanker recommends sending to  
BCCC for review. All agreed.  
Section 503.2.8 Angles was presented an all agreed to keep as currently amended.  
503.3 Painting of Fire Lanes, presented to add “red” into the amendment language,  
an all agreed.  
505.1.1 Exterior Doors and labeling of suites is a new section and all agreed to keep.  
505.3 Labeling of windows on K-12 buildings aligns with county and state, all agreed  
to keep.  
506.1 Adding additional language to the knox box requirements. All agreed. Also all  
agreed to allow retroactive application for existing buildings.  
507.3 Fire Flow is referenced in Appendix B and was recommended to adopt as  
written along with appendix. All agreed.  
507.5.1 recommended to add language to direct to appendix C for fire hydrant  
locations. All agreed.
