I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair, Sarah Catlin called the meeting was called to order at approximately 4:03 p.m.
II. INTRODUCTIONS
None.
III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion to approve the agenda made by Geuea Jones, seconded by Jarvis;
motion carried.
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
October 25, 2023 Minutes
Attachments: 10.25.23 Draft Minutes
Motion to approve the October 25, 2023 minutes with suggested changes to
reflect Cliff Jarvis as excused and not present made by Adkins, seconded by
Carter; motion carried.
V. OLD BUSINESS
Parking Utility - Letter of Support
Chair Catlin discussed the letter of support that will be coming before this Council and will
vote on this at the next meeting.
The group discussed parking in and around downtown and what issues they feel
concerned about. Sharon suggested talking to someone about pedicabs or electric
trolleys and maybe partner with CID or businesses. Catlin said she will ask Nickie Davis
what has occurred previously and what research has been done in regards to pedicabs or
trolleys.
Catlin stressed the importance of implementing an education campaign about parking
and garages. Adkins suggested maybe reaching out to MU Parking to see what
programs or educational tools they use.
Bernie said Amy Schneider with the Convention and Visitors Bureau might be a good
source for information and ideas. He will reach out to Amy. Catlin said she will reach out
to Catherine Armbrust with COMO Mobile Aide and see if she could attend a future
meeting to discuss those experiencing homelessness and what resources they use and
the work they are doing.
