CALL TO ORDER - 1:00 PM
HPC Speaker Series - "The Historic Columbia Branch Railroad"

The Columbia Historic Preservation Commission is partnering with Daniel Boone Regional
Library to bring you a presentation from local historian and author Marty Paten on the
historic Columbia Branch Railroad. Mr. Paten's presentation will include a slideshow and
a talk on this locally important transportation corridor, as well as a display of artifacts and
railroad memorabilia from the author's personal collection.
Marty Paten is the founder of Boone County Historical Investigation Services and the
owner of H.A.G.R. Publishing. He is the author of "The Columbia Branch Railroad" and is
one of the foremost authorities on the history of what was Boone County's earliest
functioning railroad.
A quorum of the HPC membership is expected at this event; however, no official business
will be discussed during the event.
